On the evening of April 6, the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Magadan Region received a message that in the Sea of Okhotsk from the side of the large freezing fishing trawler "Alexander Ksenofontov" evacuation of two crew members for medical reasons is required. The victims had to be taken to the regional hospital.

Вечером 6 апреля в Центр управления в кризисных ситуациях Главного управления МЧС России по Магаданской области поступило сообщение о том, что в Охотском море с борта большого морозильного рыболовецкого траулера «Александр Ксенофонтов» требуется эвакуация двоих членов экипажа по медицинским показаниям. Пострадавших необходимо было доставить в областную больницу.
