The Civil Protection Academy was founded on December 9, 1992. Академия гражданской защиты была образована 9 декабря 1992 года. За это время АГЗ МЧС России стала головным учебно-методическим центром в системе высшего образования спасательного ведомства, подготовив более 6 тыс. высококвалифицированных специалистов в области защиты населения и территорий от чрезвычайных ситуаций.
