The ambassador of the Russian Federation in Latvia was awarded a note of protest in connection with the impudent trick of the Russian special forces.

In the garrison itself, a barracks position was introduced and it will be impossible to interview the colleagues of the distinguished Airborne Forces officer in the near future.
The monument to Latvian punishers from the 23, 319 and 322 battalions of the Waffen SS was erected on September 14 in the center of the Latvian city of Bauska. Inscriptions are inscribed on the monument stating that it was placed in honor of the defenders of the city against the second occupation by the Soviet Union, and that Latvia should be a Latvian state.

Послу Российской Федерации в Латвии вручена нота протеста в связи с дерзкой выходкой русского спецназа.
Военный инцидент, который грозит обернуться самым грандиозным международным скандалом за всю новейшую историю наших стран, произошёл сегодня ночью.
Силами разведывательно-диверсионной роты 76-ой гвардейской десантно-штурмовой дивизии ВДВ, дислоцирующейся в деревне Черёха Псковской области, совершена вылазка на территорию Латвийской Республики, во время которой русскими спецназовцами был уничтожен памятник участникам карательного батальона «Ваффен СС» в городе Бауска.
Министерство обороны России уже опровергло появившуюся в ряде зарубежных СМИ информацию о том, что приказ об этой вылазке был отдан лично командующим ВДВ, генерал-полковником Владимиром Шамановым. Как сообщается, всю ответственность за проведённую спецоперацию взял на себя командир роты разведки, гвардии капитан Николай Арюков.
По словам представителя пресс-службы Минобороны, войсковое подразделение отрабатывало ведение автономных боевых действий в тылу противника в приграничной зоне. Сообщается, что по этой причине был задействован режим радиомолчания и связь со штабом учений отсутствовала. Командир роты, злоупотребив спиртными напитками, самовольно отдал приказ перейти границу. Как известно, в армии приказы не обсуждаются, а выполняются. Этот приказ также был выполнен. Совершив марш-бросок, русские десантники демонтировали памятник эсэсовцам при помощи шанцевого инструмента и такой-то матери. Забегая вперёд отметим, что лучше бы они делали это в полной тишине, но, по всей видимости, винные пары ещё давали о себе знать.
Примечательно, что очевидцев события латышской полиции обнаружить так и не удалось — настолько ювелирно сработала русская разведывательно-диверсионная группа. Также до сих пор остаётся неясным, каким образом и где именно была пересечена государственная граница.
Вероятнее всего, что вину за разрушение памятника возложили бы на местных антифашистов, если бы не записи видеокамер наружного наблюдения, на которых отчётливо заметны экипировка и вооружение тех, кого латышская сторона уже назвала «вандалами». Хуже всего, что встроенные в камеры микрофоны позволили полицейским прослушать, что думает о латвийских властях, устанавливающих памятники недобиткам из СС, русская десантура.
Дальнейшая идентификация стала вопросом времени — ведь нечасто в центре латвийских городов хозяйничает вооружённая автоматами группа из двух десятков военнослужащих в русской форме, разбирающая на кусочки памятник.
Командование учений несколько часов воздерживалось от комментариев, но, после предоставления латвийской стороной фотографий со спутников-шпионов, которые были переданы ей союзниками по блоку НАТО, было вынуждено признать факт нарушения государственной границы военным подразделением Российской Федерации.
Известно, что в настоящее время гвардии капитан Арюков находится на гарнизонной гауптвахте и с ним работают следователи военной прокуратуры и Федеральной службы безопасности. В самом гарнизоне введено казарменное положение и взять интервью у сослуживцев отличившегося офицера ВДВ в ближайшее время будет невозможно.

Впрочем, если бы последний тезис прочитали бывшие германские хозяева латышских легионеров, они бы немало удивились — Германия и близко не планировала отдавать Латвию латышам.
