Kaspersky suggested organizing an international Internet government
The founder of Kaspersky Lab believes that cybercrime can be effectively combated only by combining the efforts of all states.
In an interview with the Internet publication V3.co.uk, Yevgeny Kaspersky, founder and lead developer of the Kaspersky Lab antivirus software manufacturer, said that most states are fighting regional cybercriminals without realizing that the Internet has no territorial borders.
According to Yevgeny Valentinovich, in order to monitor the situation and effectively prosecute attackers, it is necessary to form an independent international organization that would perform both leadership and “police” functions, that is, it would be the Internet “government” and the Internet “Interpol” at the same time.
Kaspersky also believes that companies should not “hush up” information about Internet attacks, as this impedes the administration of justice and creates “comfortable conditions” for attackers.
