A special fire brigade was created in the difficult conditions of the post-war period. On October 9, 1947, by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a special department was formed as part of the Main Directorate of Fire Protection to provide fire protection for the complex of industries for the creation of the latest weapons: enterprises, research institutions, closed cities and towns.

Специальная пожарная охрана была создана в сложных условиях послевоенного времени. 9 октября 1947 года приказом МВД в составе Главного управления пожарной охраны был образован специальный отдел для обеспечения противопожарной защиты комплекса производств по созданию новейшего оружия: предприятий, научно-исследовательских учреждений, закрытых городов и поселков.
