The Ministry of Internal Affairs on Thursday launched a mobile application for tablets and smartphones, which will urgently call the police, find your local police officer and get help on the work of the internal affairs bodies.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the first time made a mobile application for the official site, this is now its integral part,” said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Andrei Pilipchuk yesterday.
Any citizen, having a phone in his pocket, can call the police in just two “clicks”. Moreover, the gadget with a police application itself determines the geographically nearest department. The new software, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, may become relevant for those who travel around the country. - Nobody is going to follow the citizens totally. If a person made a call with two clicks, that is, informed that he was in trouble, then we can determine his location by geo-location and call the police. And the duty service for cameras installed in this area will be able to see what is happening in this area, ”said Andrei Pilipchuk.
The application has already been launched and is in the public domain: any citizen can download it for free on his mobile phone or tablet by going to the Apple or Android application store or using the QR code on the Ministry of Internal Affairs website.
At the same time, the police department asked everyone to check the operation of the new application.
- We would like to ask both journalists and citizens to test this application. In case there are ideas for the development of the application, we can do it. МВД в четверг запустило мобильное приложение для планшетов и смартфонов, которое позволит экстренно вызвать полицию, найти своего участкового и получить справку о работе органов внутренних дел.
- МВД России впервые сделало мобильное приложение к официальному сайту, это теперь его неотъемлемая часть, - сообщил вчера официальный представитель МВД Андрей Пилипчук.
Любой гражданин, имея телефон в кармане, может буквально двумя "кликами" вызвать полицию. Причем гаджет с полицейским приложением сам определяет по географически ближайший отдел. Если с человеком случилась беда, приложение само делает вызов. Если туда нельзя дозвониться, идет звонок на общий номер полиции - 102. А если и здесь звонок не проходит или в телефоне отключена функция определения местоположения - то идет звонок в службу спасения 112.
Таким образом, как считают в МВД, в чрезвычайной ситуации повышается вероятность успешного дозвона до полиции или экстренных служб.
Кроме того, на карте и в виде списка отображаются расположенные рядом отделы, а также информация об участковых уполномоченных, их контактные телефоны и адреса. При этом полицейское ведомство попросило всех желающих проверить работу нового приложения.
- Мы хотели бы попросить и журналистов, и граждан протестировать это приложение. В случае если появятся идеи для развития приложения, мы можем это сделать. Мы готовы выслушать замечания, для этого мы специально создали почтовый ящик: apps@mvd.gov.ru. Будем совершенствовать приложение, - отметил Андрей Пилипчук.

По его словам, в Министерстве действительно иногда вводятся определенные ограничения, но они носят краткосрочный характер, например, во время проведения закрытых совещаний.
