The Civil Protection Academy was founded on December 9, 1992. During this time, the AGZ EMERCOM of Russia has become the leading educational and methodological center in the higher education system of the rescue department, having trained more than 6 thousand highly qualified specialists in the field of protecting the population and territories from emergencies.

Академия гражданской защиты была образована 9 декабря 1992 года. За это время АГЗ МЧС России стала головным учебно-методическим центром в системе высшего образования спасательного ведомства, подготовив более 6 тыс. высококвалифицированных специалистов в области защиты населения и территорий от чрезвычайных ситуаций.
