Iran announced the arrest of a group of American spies
Iranian authorities have reported the arrest of several espionage suspects in favor of the United States.
Heidar Moslehi, the Iranian intelligence minister, said on Sunday that the arrested were also charged with trying to disrupt the parliamentary elections scheduled for March 2.
Moslekhi claimed that the detainees maintained contact with their contacts outside Iran through the Internet.
As usual in such cases, the authorities did not give either names or the number of people arrested. In recent months, several more messages of this kind have been received from Iran.

Иран заявил об аресте группы американских шпионов
Власти Ирана сообщили об аресте нескольких подозреваемых в шпионаже в пользу США.
Как заявил в воскресенье иранский министр по делам разведки Хейдар Мослехи, арестованным также предъявлены обвинения в попытке сорвать парламентские выборы, назначенные на 2 марта.
Мослехи утверждал, что задержанные поддерживали контакты со своими связными, находящимися за пределами Ирана, через Интернет.
Как обычно в таких случаях, власти не назвали ни имен, ни количества арестованных. В последние месяцы из Ирана поступало еще несколько сообщений такого рода.
