British intelligence banned the use of computers from the largest PC maker

The ban appeared after many tests, according to the results of which experts found that Lenovo computers are dangerous for the reason that they contain hardware backdoors and software vulnerabilities, which allows you to gain remote control over the system without the knowledge of the user.
The document also has the following wording: the software installed on Lenovo equipment is produced by companies that have close ties with the Chinese authorities, which is why the use of such software by other states can threaten national security.
In turn, for Lenovo, the news of the ban was unexpected. The company emphasized that its products "have been repeatedly selected by private and public companies for their high reliability, safety and compliance with the necessary requirements." Lenovo also remains a provider of solutions for the military departments of Australia and New Zealand, which do not have a high degree of secrecy.
