On February 15, 2019, the Leader Special Risk Rescue Center celebrates its anniversary. The unit is unofficially considered the "special forces" of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, as it performs the most complex and crucial tasks. The Leader’s specialists are instructed to carry out emergency rescue operations of particular complexity in emergency response, including at facilities with an increased risk to human life and health.

15 февраля 2019 года Центр по проведению спасательных операций особого риска «Лидер» отмечает свой юбилей. Подразделение неофициально считается «спецназом» МЧС России, так как выполняет самые сложные и ответственные задачи. Специалистам «Лидера» поручают проведение аварийно-спасательных работ особой сложности при ликвидации чрезвычайных ситуаций, в том числе на объектах с повышенной опасностью для жизни и здоровья людей.
