The magistrate of the judicial section examined the criminal case and convicted Yevgeny Galaktionov, head of the criminal law department of the North-West Academy of Public Administration, Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education, for committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe).
According to the press service of the city prosecutor’s office, the court found that in June 2011, Galaktionov, being in the premises of the academy, received a bribe in the amount of 5 thousand rubles from each of the 56 students of the accelerated training center stream in the specialty “jurisprudence” through the intermediary for receiving positive assessments by students for exams in the disciplines "General ... and Special parts of criminal law", as well as for the defense of term paper in criminal law without actually conducting exams and verifications of term papers.
Galaktionov fully admitted his guilt in the commission of the crimes incriminated to him, at his request the criminal case was examined in a special order.
Galaktionov was found guilty, and the final punishment for the convict was imposed in the form of 3 years of imprisonment, with a probation period of 3 years, with a fine of 300 thousand rubles.
The court of higher jurisdiction, after considering the appeal of Galaktionov, upheld the verdict of the justice of the peace, and the appeal of the convict was dismissed.

Мировой судья судебного участка рассмотрел уголовное дело и признал виновным Евгения Галактионова, заведующего кафедрой уголовного права ФГОУ ВПО «Северо-Западная академия государственной службы», в совершении преступления, предусмотренного ч. 1 ст. 290 УК РФ (получение взятки).
Как сообщает пресс-служба горпрокуратуры, суд установил, что в июне 2011 года Галактионов, находясь в помещении академии, получил через посредника взятку в сумме 5 тысяч рублей от каждого из 56 студентов потока центра ускоренного обучения по специальности «юриспруденция» за получение студентами положительных оценок за экзамены по дисциплинам "Общая... и Особенная части уголовного права", а также за защиту курсовой работы по уголовному праву без фактического проведения экзаменов и проверок курсовых работ.
Вину свою в совершении инкриминируемых ему преступлений Галактионов признал полностью, по его ходатайству уголовное дело было рассмотрено в особом порядке.
Галактионов был признан виновным, и окончательное наказание осужденному было назначено в виде 3 лет лишения свободы условно, с испытательным сроком 3 года, со штрафом в размере 300 тысяч рублей.
Суд вышестоящей инстанции после рассмотрения апелляционной жалобы Галактионова оставил приговор мирового судьи, а апелляционную жалобу осужденного без удовлетворения.
