Former chief of the Shigonsky police department, Mikhail Chichelnik, who became the hero of the publication, filed a lawsuit against Khinshtein for comparison with Tsapki. According to the newspaper Kommersant, he is already a defendant in criminal cases of abuse of authority, robbery and illegal acquisition of a technical device. Генпрокуратура потребовала от главы МВД РФ Рашида Нургалиева привлечь к ответственности руководителя ГУ МВД по Самарской области Юрия Стерликова, в деятельности которого были выявлены серьезные нарушения. Законодатель рассказал об этом в своей статье, опубликованной в "Московском комсомольце", и сравнил положение в районе с ситуацией в кубанской станице Кущевской.
Бывший начальник Шигонского ОВД Михаил Чичельник, ставший героем публикации, подал на Хинштейна в суд за сравнение с Цапками. В отношении бывшего милиционера по результатам прокурорской проверки возобновлено уголовное преследование. По данным газеты "Коммерсантъ", он уже является фигурантом уголовных дел о превышении полномочий, грабеже и незаконном приобретении технического устройства. Также проводится проверка на причастность к преступлениям районного прокурора Вадима Федорина.
Что касается руководства ГУ МВД по Самарской области, то Стерликова и его подчиненных обвиняют в игнорировании поступавших жалоб на действия Чичельника. Кроме того, прокуроры выявили "грубейшие нарушения" в работе полицейских сыщиков Самарской области.
Помимо Стерликова прокуратура требует привлечь к ответственности и других должностных лиц.
