The State Duma Council refused to submit for consideration by deputies the question of the resignation of Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev, Interfax reports.
As explained by the vice-speaker of the Communist Party, Ivan Melnikov, "Fair Russia" introduced a document in violation of the regulations. According to him, the reference did not enlist the support of the relevant security committee.
According to Melnikov, the Communists will not demand the resignation of Nurgaliyev at a meeting on April 13, where the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will address the deputies. He expressed the opinion that with the advent of Vladimir Putin to the presidency, another person will come to the post of Minister of the Interior.
