The Russian monarchist party was led by businessman and former deputy from the Union of Right Forces Anton Bakov. Bakov himself said that the monarchy as a form of government in the Russian Federation has been observed for a long time. There is no actual election of representatives of the most important bodies of state power. At the same time, Bakov emphasized that the monarchy in Russia is illegitimate and it is necessary to give it legal forms by creating an appropriate party.
At the moment, the political course of the monarchist party is unknown. It remains a mystery whether she will become one of the active opposition or will become partially loyal to the current government. It is only known that so far about a thousand people have joined the party.

7 апреля в Москве была учреждена Монархическая партия. Главными задачами новой политической силы будет возрождение монархической династии Романовых в стране и последующая передача власти их выжившим потомкам.
Российскую монархическую партию возглавил предприниматель и бывший депутат от Союза правых сил Антон Баков. Сам Баков заявил, что монархия как форма государственного правления в Российской Федерации наблюдается уже давно. Отсутствует фактическая выборность представителей важнейших органов государственной власти. При этом Баков подчеркнул, что монархия в России нелегитимная и ей необходимо придать законные формы путем создания соответствующей партии.
В настоящий момент о политическом курсе монархической партии неизвестно. Остается загадкой, войдет ли она в число активных оппозиционеров или станет частично лояльной действующей власти. Известно лишь только то, что к настоящему моменту в партию вступили около тысячи человек.
