In the Tomsk region, a criminal case was opened on the fact of an accident involving a police officer, as a result of which a 53-year-old woman died. This was announced on May 2 by RIA Novosti.
The accident occurred on the evening of April 30 at the seventh kilometer of the Tomsk-Bogashevo road near the village of Predtechensk. According to the investigation, the inspector of the immediate response group of the police department number four in the city of Tomsk, driving a Lexus IS200 car, shot down a woman who was walking along an unregulated pedestrian crossing. The victim died on the spot. The policeman immediately reported the accident to the department.

The alcohol in the blood of the suspect was not found. It is believed that he could fall asleep while driving. Elena Lebedeva, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Committee for the Tomsk Region, told reporters of the News in Tomsk publication that, according to preliminary data, the policeman was supposed to leave the shift at 8:00, but he had to stay until 18:00.

According to Life News, the suspect's name is Artem Privalov, he is 24 years old. The deceased was called Natalya Atakishaeva.
