The Russian market is unattractive to investors as an IPO due to the political situation, which is assessed more negatively than in October 1993. This was reported by "Gazeta.Ru", referring to the materials of the MICEX-RTS analysts prepared for the public offering of its shares.
The exchange itself declined to comment, without confirming, but without refuting the presence of relevant documents to Lente.ru. As the author of the document, which was supposedly considered by the exchange in May, Gazeta.Ru names Ekaterina Novokreschenykh, a member of the board of the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange-RTS.
In October 1993, an armed confrontation took place in Moscow between President Boris Yeltsin and the Supreme Council, as a result of which the building of the latter was fired from armored vehicles, and the leadership was forced to surrender.
The materials indicate that the situation will not improve in the foreseeable future, so Russian sites will remain unattractive to investors.
