One Saturday night, someone persistently knocked on the door of the house of Alexander and Ekaterina Grachev. Alexander opened the door and saw a stranger who called himself police officer Pavlov. The stranger reported:
“I came up with bad news.” Your brother-in-law was killed. A passerby found his body two hours ago. When killed were documents with which we found you.
- My God, Poor Misha, How could this happen !!!!! My wife can’t bear it !!!!! What a sorrow !!!!
The next day, Alexander and Catherine came to the police station to testify.
“We can say for sure,” said Pavlov, “that the victim knew the killer very well.” Therefore, answer one question, which of your mutual acquaintances, friends, relatives could have a motive for the murder?
Catherine through tears answered quietly:
- I still have brother Ivan, but they were great friends with Misha. In addition, Ivan is now away, he is on a business trip in another city.
Alexander began to talk about Uncle Fyodor, who was very suspicious and always believed that Misha wanted him dead in order to get his apartment ... And Alexander remembered cousin Philip, who almost went to jail for ... .
“Enough,” Pavlov interrupted, now I’m quite sure that it is you who are somehow related to the murder. Admit it yourself before it’s too late!
Why did Pavlov decide so? What in the behavior of Alexander alerted him?
