Rustam Mirzabaev, IAPD partner in Kazakhstan, representing the Bureau of Independent Investigations, spoke about the Kalkan public association of corporate security professionals in detective activity in Kazakhstan. The idea of creating such an organization arose after studying international experience and attending in 2017 the VIII IAPD conference, the conference of the APCB of Ukraine on corporate security, the II - International Congress of Detectives in Kiev.
The main goal of the association is to create a single and common platform for security guards and private detectives. This is the first and only site of its kind in Kazakhstan today.

In Kazakhstan, there is no law on private detective activity, although a draft law was presented in 2003 but was not adopted. In 2015, the Lower House signed a bill regulating detective activity, but it did not receive further distribution.

However, detective activity is not prohibited by law in Kazakhstan. Detectives are regulated by the current legal acts.

In 2019, the I conference "Components of corporate security" was held in Almaty. There were colleagues from Russia, the USA and other countries. The issues of security and detective activity were discussed, memorandums of partnership were signed.

Unfortunately, in Kazakhstan, the community of detectives is not united enough, but attempts to unite are being made, there is a positive experience.
