Monitoring social networks in “both squares”

If we move away from the topic “news is not news”, this is good in itself - the country's leadership understands the importance of virtual space and uses it. But not so simple.
The country's leadership began using a new system for monitoring political processes (Media Pulse). Prior to this, the system that performed these functions was a development called “Prism” of the Medialogia company, which allows monitoring various media as well as the posts of individual bloggers. True, the functionality of the new system is somewhat depressing. The media pulse seems to allow you to process large amounts of data and sort them by region, personnel, by source, including by type of media, and then combine the data obtained for each person separately in a common schedule to track key trends. It may sound rude, but this is the last century. This functionality is actively used at the most primitive level of work with information flows and for a long time. Also, the system monitors the main information risks, benefits and provides preventive information on trends, which should allow, if not to be ahead of the curve, then at least increase the time margin for making decisions. This is a more interesting direction, but also not a new one for a long time. Automatic identification of vulnerabilities and opportunities for an object, calculating the likelihood of their occurrence and predicting the development of the situation is already ten years old as implemented in the Trend program.
According to rumors, the system keeps a dossier on objects of interest to the Kremlin (persons, organizations, events or processes). I hope the replenishment of the dossier is automatic, not manual

Мониторинг социальных сетей на «обеих площадях»

Вчера в интернете появились новости под общим названием «Кремль вводит новую систему мониторинга социальных сетей и прессы «. Информация об этом уже появлялась в интернете в начале июля — так что это не новость. Если отойти от темы «новость — не новость», само по себе это хорошо — руководство страны понимает значимость виртуального пространства и использует его. Но не всё так просто.
Руководство страны начало использование новой системы мониторинга политических процессов (Медиапульс). До этого системой, которая выполняла эти функции, была разработка под названием «Призма» компании «Медиалогия», позволяющая мониторить как различные СМИ, так и посты отдельных блогеров. Правда несколько удручает функционал новой системы. Медиапульс вроде как позволяет обрабатывать большие массивы данных и сортировать их по регионам, персоналиям, по источникам, в т.ч. по типам СМИ, после чего объединять полученные данные по каждой персоне отдельно в общий график, чтобы отслеживать ключевые тенденции. Возможно прозвучит грубо, но это прошлый век. Данный функционал активно используется на самом примитивном уровне работы с информационными потоками и уже давно. Если во Власти только пришли к этому, то….
Также, система отслеживает основные информационные риски, преимущества и дает превентивную информацию о тенденциях, что должно позволить если и не играть на опережение, то хотя бы увеличить запас времени для принятия решений. Это более интересное направление, но тоже уже давно не новое. Автоматическое выявление уязвимостей и возможностей для объекта, расчет вероятности их наступления и прогнозирование развития ситуации уж скоро десять лет как реализован в программе «Тренд».
По слухам, система ведет досье на интересующие Кремль объекты (персоны, организаии, события или процессы). Надеюсь пополнение досье ведется автоматически, а не вручную . Ведь этот функционал тоже давно используется в современных системах мониторинга.
