The reason was the unwillingness of the Chinese authorities to open their market for English goods, and first of all for opium. India, then an English colony, could produce cheap opium in huge quantities.

In China, opium was under an imperial ban, which, however, did not prevent the smugglers from slowly selling the potion to those who wanted it. The British, evaluating what income promises them the development of the market of the Celestial Empire, under a far-fetched pretext, declared war on China. Using its superiority in technology, England without any problems or losses forced Beijing to open its market to English merchants.

The consequences were not long in coming. In 1842, the population of China was 416 million people, including 2 million drug addicts, in 1881 - 369 million people, of which 120 million were drug addicts. Sixty increase in less than forty years. Fabulous amounts from the drug trade flowed into England. The golden Victorian era, which the British love to remember with emotion, was paid for by Chinese drug addicts. Yes, we must not forget about the old France. She, too, took a feasible part in the Second Opium War, when she sensed what money smells like here.

A truly good business idea does not become obsolete.

This October marks the 12th anniversary of the start of the NATO war against al-Qaeda and the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. Shortly after the explosion of the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001, US forces launched their first airstrikes on military targets of the Taliban. Soon ground operations followed.

The conflict in Afghanistan continues to this day. Since 2003, he moved to the partisan-terrorist stage, in which he still remains.

Of course, the PR-services of the North Atlantic Alliance may argue that in Afghanistan they are at the forefront of the fight against international terrorism, and this will even be partly true. But the fact is that this is not the whole truth.

By gaining control of Afghanistan, NATO, in effect, triumphed in yet another Opium War.

According to the Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN) of Russia, from 2001 to 2008, the production of opiates and heroin in Afghanistan grew 2–2.5 times. Satellite photographs during that period showed that poppy fields grow by leaps and bounds. It would seem that the occupying forces should impede the attempts of the population to engage in criminal business, but no: not only they do not interfere, but, as it turned out, they indulge. In Afghanistan, NATO actually “roofs” the local drug mafia, receiving dividends from this. What is described in his book “Dollars of Terror. United States and Islamists ”Swiss journalist R. Russia has repeatedly and at various levels tried to raise the issues of the emergence of a new center for the production of opiates in a dangerous proximity to its borders. In vain. Our Western "friends" block all such attempts. Although, maybe this is what our politicians ask for so that they refuse?

What did this peacekeeping operation for Russia result in? A stream of Afghan drugs poured across our borders. And so it turned out that in the "Third Opium War" we play the role of the Chinese - a nation that pays for their holiday with their lives and health.

Heroin consumption in Russia reached 70 tons per year - twice as much as in the USA and Canada combined, and as much as in all of Europe. According to the UN four years ago, twice to three times more people die from Afghan heroin in Russia annually than Soviet soldiers died during the entire nine-year war in Afghanistan, i.e. from 30 to 40 thousand!

In an article published in Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the article “Who is responsible for Afghan drug trafficking” dated 03.03.2013, quite wild figures were heard: “Our doctors record more than 660 thousand people who turn to drug dispensaries for help each year, more than 100 thousand deaths from drugs.”

That is, our losses in the "third Opium" have already exceeded half a million lives. And that is at least. And how many remained disabled, homeless, rotted in prisons? And how much more will disappear? And how many crimes have drug addicts committed and will commit?

It would seem that here it is - a direct and clear threat to national security, the enemy is obvious and tangible. Take the sword, cut the head hydra! But no.

Until the last breath, our government is ready to fight with the propaganda of homosexuality, with torrents, with Pussy Rayot, with falsification of history, with a bald hell - but not with that!

Why? Tens of thousands dying from Afghan heroin a year - not enough reason? Millions of "sitting on the needle" - not the basis? Then what is the basis for you ?!

The Chinese Communists, who learned the lessons of history, immediately after taking power in 1949 introduced the death penalty for drug trafficking. Moreover, they arrange broadcasts of executions of drag dealers live.

Cruel? But is it more humane - hundreds of thousands of deaths from overdose, poisoning, disease?

In Russia, meanwhile, even the confiscation of property as a form of criminal punishment was excluded from the Criminal Code in 2003, and now everything that the dealer dealer has earned through excessive labor, as a rule, remains in his property.

In recent years, heroin consumption in Russia has remained almost at the same level. Apparently, in the struggle between the forces of good and evil in this sector of the front, a certain status quo has been achieved that suits both sides. This, of course, is a sign of stability, and it is above all for our state. But…

For example, I work at a factory, and with our shop managers, they constantly demand to increase production efficiency: reduce production costs, reduce manufacturing time, reduce the number of defects, etc. For lack of progress punished. Immediately - a huge branched structure stomps on the spot for several years, and everyone is happy! Although behind the lack of progress in its activities are tens of thousands of deaths and millions of mutilated fates.

According to the French newspaper Le Monde, the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia intercepts only 4% of the total drug traffic, which, of course, hardly affects the overall picture. (For comparison: up to 15% is intercepted in Iran.)

Sometimes it seems that the name of this government agency - the Federal Drug Control Service - speaks for itself. That her task is not to fight drugs, but to control them. The above figures make you think that this is not a pun, not a joke.

An undeclared war is being waged against Russia, but none of the first (even second, third) state persons is waging an ear. It would seem that it’s easier - in one motion and step on the tail of the damned uncle Sam and protect his citizens from poison. But no, no!

We will fly with cranes and sink to the bottom of the sea. To catch fish and "swamp troublemakers." Save tigers and Syria. We have a lot of important things to do, and Afghan heroin is not the most important. And demographics can be corrected at the expense of the inhabitants of Central Asia.
Why is it that (without) our authorities act, it would seem, completely stitched with spiritual fasteners?
