"Detectives of the world against crime" press conference


September 10, 2013 at 14:00 in the press center of the news agency "Rosbalt" (St. Petersburg, Ligovsky pr., D. 92 / G) will hold a press conference "Detectives of the world against crime."

The meeting at the press center is dedicated to the IV Conference of the International Association of Detectives, which will be held from September 11 to 15 in St. Petersburg. “It all depends on the particular judge. Some judges acknowledge the results of investigations of the private trader, some do not. We are forbidden to use technical means. The detective’s main tool is his head, experience and personal contacts, which are usually acquired in the law enforcement system,” the head of the detective agency said. ST. PETERSBURG, September 10. Private detectives want to help the police, have greater rights and access police databases for better and faster organization of activities. "In our current detective work, virtually all special technical means are prohibited, except for the telephone and voice recorder. We would also like the results of our investigations to be taken into account in court. In the USA, for example, insurance companies may not pay insurance compensation if there is no detective’s opinion "- said Gudimov.

According to private detectives, the need has ripened for a wide discussion of the need and greater legalization of the activities of private detectives. It is for this purpose that the fourth conference of the International Association of Detectives will be held in St. Petersburg from September 11 to 15.

"Our task is to improve regional laws in the field of private detective activity. We must unload the police. In addition, often a private investigator is able to do much of what is not authorized or cannot be done by an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or a security company. In addition, we all must work together for the sake of general security, "said Andrei Matushkin, president of MOD.

According to the MOD, to date, no more than 200-300 private detectives work in St. Petersburg. As experts admit, not all of them act by law and have licenses. However, according to Matushkin, "we are driving out unscrupulous detectives from the market. The prestige and trust in our profession depend on this."
