More than 9 million rubles was lost to a Muscovite who decided to buy currency at a favorable rate in a fake "exchanger", Interfax reports.
"The day before, a 30-year-old non-working Muscovite filed a complaint with the police about fraud," said a spokesman for the Russian Interior Ministry’s Main Directorate for Moscow.
The victim said that he found on the Internet an advertisement about a favorable exchange rate, after which he decided to exchange a large amount in rubles. Arriving on Friday afternoon at the indicated address in Kropotkinskiy pereulok, d.9, the man went into the room under the guise of a currency exchange office, gave the cashier 9 million 260 thousand rubles and waited until the money was checked and exchanged.
The fraudster, having taken the money, simply left through the back door. A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of fraud.

Более 9 млн рублей лишился москвич, решивший купить валюту по выгодному курсу в фальшивом "обменнике", передает "Интерфакс".

Потерпевший рассказал, что нашел в интернете объявление о выгодном курсе обмена валюты, после чего решил обменять крупную сумму в рублях. Приехав в пятницу днем по указанному адресу в Кропоткинском переулке, д.9, мужчина зашел в помещение под вывеской пункта обмена валюты, отдал кассиру 9 млн 260 тысяч рублей и стал ждать пока деньги проверят и обменяют.
Мошенник же, забрав деньги, просто ушел через черный ход. По факту мошенничества возбуждено уголовное дело.
