According to the newspaper "Izvestia", thus the Ministry of Internal Affairs is struggling with the leak of classified data. Police officers will not be able to use their gadgets during meetings, exercises and checks. In addition, the ministry believes that such a measure will be able to suppress attempts by Western intelligence agencies to intercept secret data.

The corresponding order was signed by one of the deputies of the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, sources in the department told the newspaper. The document was sent to all internal affairs agencies.

“The document says that when carrying out the events stipulated by the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is forbidden to use smartphones, open cell phones, wireless devices (except office radio stations), as well as digital storage media that have an open data storage: tablets, e-books, digital dictionaries that allow you to make audio and video recordings, take pictures, connect to the Internet, transmit data wirelessly, capable of determining location via GPS, ”the source told the publication.
