The number of private detectives in the Russian Federation is significantly reduced - Rosgvardia
MOSCOW, 24 Sep - RAPSI. The number of private detectives in Russia is steadily falling, said Andrei Avanesov, deputy head of the licensing and permitting department of the GULRRiGK of the Russian Guard.
“We see that since 2010 (when security and detective activities were separated), the number of detectives has been steadily falling, that is, in fact, it is over 50%. If this trend continues, then we calculated: by 2030, not a single detective will remain in the country, ”Avanesov said on Thursday at the Public Chamber during a roundtable on the problems of legislative regulation of detective activity.
According to him, it is obvious that new legal regulation of detectives' activities is needed. “During the discussions, it should be decided in what form the licensing will be. We believe that it should be, because the very principle of licensing is sharpened to protect the interests of the state, society and those activities. [...] It is necessary to revise the range of services and subjects of control, because we have many organizations that provide near-detective services (a number of private security companies), but they do not have a license, that is, they are essentially engaged in illegal activities, ”said the representative of the Russian Guard , adding that one of the problems is also related to the fragmentation in this area and the absence of a body representing the interests of detectives.
