Will detective activity be legalized in Lithuania?

Lithuanian News, Vilnius. In the near future, a law regulating the activities of private detectives may be adopted in Lithuania. This initiative was made by the head of the Lithuanian Seimas Committee on National Security and Defense Arvydas Anushauskas.
According to him, at present, the subjects of this type of activity do not have the appropriate legal framework for activities, and therefore there are often precedents for interference in the personal lives of citizens, and sometimes even curious facts, when disguised as household devices, such as computer mice or electric extension cords are sold all kinds of listening devices and sensors.
According to A. Anushauskas, it is necessary to adopt a legislative framework for the activities of private detectives, which will establish the procedure for obtaining permits, as well as the legal framework for the activities of such structures and individuals. In the course of the discussion held yesterday in parliament, in which, in addition to parliamentarians, representatives of law enforcement agencies as well as representatives of private detective agencies took part, all parties agreed on the need to adopt such a legislative act.

Узаконят ли детективную деятельность в Литве?

Новости Литвы, Вильнюс. В ближайшее время в Литве может быть принят закон, регулирующий деятельность частных детективов. С такой инициативой выступил руководитель Комитета Сейма Литвы по национальной безопасности и обороне Арвидас Анушаускас.
По его мнению, в настоящее время субъекты такого вида деятельности не имеют соответствующих правовых рамок деятельности, в связи с чем нередко возникают прецеденты вмешательства в личную жизнь граждан, а, порой, и курьезные факты, когда под видом бытовых устройств, таких, как компьютерные мыши или электрические удлинители продаются всевозможные подслушивающие устройства и датчики.
По словам А. Анушаускаса, необходимо принятие законодательной базы деятельности частных детективов, которая установит порядок получения разрешительной документации, а также правовые рамки деятельности подобных структур и лиц. В ходе состоявшейся вчера в парламенте дискуссии, в которой, помимо парламентариев приняли участие представители правоохранительных органов, а также представители частных детективных агентств, все стороны сошлись на необходимости принятия подобного законодательного акта.
