Ministry of Internal Affairs launched a new tracking and appeal system

In December 2021, the "Web" system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will begin to operate throughout Russia - about this informs TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The system will help to reveal and prevent theft and theft of cars, as well as search for cars whose drivers fled from the scene of an accident.
The essence of the system is to integrate all traffic cameras into a single network using universal software. The web is not being built from scratch: in Moscow, traffic cameras were united back in 2012, in 2017 the system was extended across the Moscow region, and in April 2021 - to the entire Central Federal District. Now police officers from different cities and regions of the Central Federal District do not have to communicate additionally in order to coordinate actions to catch the car thief - the system automatically "drives" the car.

According to the Moscow Department of Transport, over the five years of using Web, the annual number of thefts in the capital and the region has decreased from 8.7 to 1.6 thousand cases.

The "Web" was conceived not as a punitive measure that facilitates the collection of fines, but as a tool for analyzing data from cameras - so that you can identify really malicious violators, they say in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The "Web" will facilitate the synchronization of the work of all existing CAFAPs, centers for the automated recording of administrative offenses. Now the policeman will have at his disposal not only one single picture of the car at the time of the violation, but also the rest of the photos, even rejected for one reason or another. You will not be able to delete snapshots from the system.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that in the near future, "Web" is seen as the basis for the service of appealing fines on the portal of state services. The corresponding amendments to the Administrative Code will enter into force on September 1, 2021. Now a government decree is being developed, which describes the procedure.
