Russian scientists from UrFU have discovered a way to stop the development of Alzheimer's disease
Alzheimer's disease has been defeated in Russia: scientists from the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin (UrFU) have discovered a way to stop the development of this disease. They synthesized chemical compounds that can stop the degeneration of neurons in Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other brain pathologies, writes the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.
Scientists from UrFU managed to obtain new molecules of the indolyl - and pyrrolylazine series, which trigger intracellular processes to combat the excess of amyloid structures. It is these elements that accumulate in the human brain over time and provoke the development of "senile" diseases.

В России победили болезнь Альцгеймера: ученые Уральского федерального университета имени первого Президента России Б. Н. Ельцина (УрФУ) открыли способ остановить развитие этого недуга. Они синтезировали химические соединения, способные прекратить дегенерацию нейронов при болезнях Альцгеймера, Паркинсона и других патологиях головного мозга, пишет журнал European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.
Ученым из УрФУ удалось получить новые молекулы рядов индолил - и пирролилазинов, которые запускают внутриклеточные процессы борьбы с избытком амилоидных структур. Именно эти элементы накапливаются в мозге человека со временем и провоцируют развитие «старческих» болезней.
