For the implementation of the army reform planned by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, it is planned to allocate 155 billion hryvnias by 2017, of which 40.3 billion are additionally raised funds.
The level of military spending is planned to increase to 1.4% of GDP. Large-scale rearmament of the army is planned to begin in 2014.

КИЕВ, 24 марта. Украинская армия за пять лет будет сокращена в 2 раза. Если на 2012 год в ней насчитывается 144 тыс. военнослужащих, то к 2017 году их должно стать 70 тысяч.
