Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has proposed encouraging citizens for denunciations of corruption. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Russian Federation.
The proposal to “stimulate” the population for “providing information on corruption crimes confirmed in court” is contained in paragraph 8 of the list of instructions that Medvedev approved following a meeting of the anti-corruption working group. The group was assembled as part of the development of the Open Government system.

The head of the presidential administration, Sergei Ivanov, and the head of the apparatus of the government of the Russian Federation, Anton Vaino, were appointed responsible for the implementation of this paragraph.

In addition, Medvedev suggested considering the feasibility of creating specialized collegiums on corruption cases in courts of general jurisdiction.

The president also instructed to create “additional anti-corruption institutions”, in particular, to create anti-corruption “mechanisms of public control”, to resolve the issue of posting court decisions on corruption cases on the Internet and to “organize public discussion” of the anti-corruption measures program. In total, the list included 10 items, the deadline for which is June 1, 2012.
