Mechanics from the car service can connect to this network using a special socket under the “torpedo”. Through this jack, researchers connected a laptop to a car computer. The experiment was conducted by scientists from the University of Washington in Seattle and the University of California at San Diego. They will present their hacking report at the IEEE Security and Privacy Symposium next week in Auckland, California.
