How can they find you on a printed sheet.
Few people know, but if you print a piece of paper at home with any provocative information, and then during a search you find a printer on which you printed it, you won’t get out.
The fact is that most printers have their own unique mark and they deliberately leave yellow dots on documents invisible to the naked eye. If you take a magnifying glass, or rather a microscope, you can find such small yellow specks that are easiest to see if you highlight the paper with a flashlight.
The placement of these points is not accidental and is one of the types of steganography. So these tiny dots actually contain quite a lot of information, when decrypted which makes the brand, model, serial number of the printer, as well as the date the information was printed on this sheet.
Wikipedia is talking , which confirms the use of this method in printers manufactured under trademarks Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Konica, Kyocera, Lanier, Lexmark, NRG, Panasonic, Ricoh, Savin, Toshiba, Xerox . This method of covert information was part of a collaboration with the government, competing manufacturers and a consortium of banks aimed at combating counterfeiting.
It is used to this day in the search for counterfeiters who do not know the "basics" of printer production, as well as security officers in proving that it was this person who printed this or that fake. The decoding of the yellow dots is of course different for all printers, in the post there is only one example. So something like that.

Как вас могут найти по распечатанному листу.
Мало кто знает, но если вы распечатаете дома листок бумаги с какой-либо провокационной информацией, а потом при обыске у вас найдут принтер на котором вы это распечатали - отвертеться не получится.
Дело в том, что у большинства принтеров есть свой уникальный след и они намеренно оставляет желтые точки на документах незаметные для невооруженного глаза. Если взять лупу, а лучше микроскоп, то можно найти вот такие маленькие жёлтенькие крапинки, которые легче всего разглядеть, если подсветить бумагу фонариком.
Размещение данных точек не случайно и является одним из видов стеганографии. Так вот эти малюсенькие крапинки содержат на самом деле в себе достаточно много информации, при расшифровке которой становится известна марка, модель, серийный номер принтера, а так же дата печати информации на данном листке.
Википедия говорит, что подтверждено использование данного метода в принтерах, выпускаемых под торговыми марками Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Konica, Kyocera, Lanier, Lexmark, NRG, Panasonic, Ricoh, Savin, Toshiba, Xerox. Этот метод скрытого нанесения информации являлся частью сотрудничества с правительством, конкурирующими производителями и консорциумом банков, направленного на борьбу с фальшивомонетничеством.
Используется он и по сей день при розыске фальшивомонетчиков, которые не знают данных "азов"производства принтеров, а так же чекистами при доказательстве, что именно этот человек распечатал ту или иную подделку. Расшифровка жёлтых точек разумеется у всех принтеров разная, в посте только один из примеров. Так что как-то так.
