Finding people through a mobile phone is true and fiction
In modern Ukraine there are practically no people who do not have a mobile phone. Whether we like it or not, this is a fact that is difficult to dismiss.
And situations often happen in life when we know what a person’s name is and his mobile phone number (well, maybe an approximate age).
But sometimes it is very necessary to find out more about a new acquaintance (surname, first name, patronymic, address, home phone number, etc. This is especially important if the interlocutor deliberately ignores you or his phone is disconnected.
Or such a situation - the name of the person and his exact age are known, but it would be very curious to find out the number of his mobile.
What do most of us do in such cases?
Option 1 The Internet is the first thing that comes to mind. The global network is full of offers like “GSM-search”, “How to read someone else’s SMS”, “New program for finding a person by mobile phone number”, “Searching for a subscriber via satellite” and other attractive tales. All of them somehow require payment, as a rule, by sending a paid SMS message to a short number.
Despite the colorful design of the corresponding site, the apparent simplicity of the service and the low cost of the request - all this, to put it mildly, is not true. Any sane person who is familiar with the basic principles of cellular communications will immediately understand that something is wrong here, it doesn’t happen, especially for such ridiculous money. And where do the satellites in general?
In addition, if you are not too lazy and read at least until the middle of the rule of operation of such services (in small print), you will find curious phrases - “This service is comic” or “The service is gaming and should not be taken seriously”. At the same time, before sending a paid SMS, you will certainly be prompted to click the button "I have read the rules of the service" or "I have studied and agree to the rules of the service". In principle, everything is honest, right? That's just the rules no one ever reads ...
Reading SMS is generally nonsense, SMS message databases do not exist in principle - operators simply do not save them. Not true, they still do not understand what they are writing about! (Matushkin.) Traffic control for a particular subscriber can be carried out ONLY by law enforcement agencies and ONLY in cases strictly defined by law. Moreover, the operator receives a binding court decision (!), The validity of which is also very limited by law.
So, having sent several SMS and spent 30-50 or more hryvnias, it became clear that the “GSM-search” is not what you need, a rally on the verge of fraud, in other words, “divorce of suckers”. And this is what they are doing. (Matushkin.) What to do next, because the problem is not solved?
Option 2 99% of the population of Ukraine have relatives (option - friends / neighbors / acquaintances / classmates) who work in law enforcement agencies. We try to "solve the problem" through them.
Below is recreated the approximate most characteristic course of events.
1. First we call for a long time, we ask you to meet, they say, not a telephone conversation.
2. Finally met.
3. We explain our “hopeless situation”. The reasons for the conversion are different, they can be different - love, money, revenge, curiosity, underline what is necessary.
4. They listened carefully, maybe they even sympathized.
5. If you didn’t refuse immediately (“I don’t deal with these issues”, “now there is no time”, just “frost” due to insufficiently close acquaintance), then they authoritatively reported that this is a difficult matter, it requires the connection of a colleague who has a friend whose sibling cousin knows who can help.
6. Having secured the promise to “ask knowledgeable people” and having paid the bill in a cafe, you are going home in high spirits.
7. After a week, you are interested in the state of “resolving the issue”. Slurred and reluctant mooing of the interlocutor in uniform reduces to the fact that it will cost a very decent amount, moreover, in North American presidents.
8. Thinking until morning, agree. Money, of course, go ahead. No guarantees, of course.
9. After another week or two, we again get bored with a busy person. He asks to call back in another week, then in two more. Then for some reason he doesn’t pick up the phone.
10.Finally, having phoned him, we are interested in an indignant tone - what has been done?
Now the options are possible:
A) the final executor took the money, but suddenly quit (transferred to another region, died during execution, was arrested, etc.)
B) the rogue intermediary did not give the money as intended
C) the person you are looking for doesn’t have a mobile phone (???) or no one could be identified by the mobile number.
There can be no question of returning money (“what are you, what money, what are you talking about”)?
Have you been wrong? Not so dark? Was the result fast and accurate? We are happy for you.
It is a pity that such cases are rare.
HOWEVER, even if everything was better than described above, you:
1. They asked for something (humiliating?), But nobody likes to ask.
2. Actually paid for a meeting with a person in uniform.
3. They waited a very long time for the result, repeatedly reminded of their question, again, they asked.
4. Gave (presented?) A substantial amount to whom it is unclear.
5. If you get the desired result (thank God!) - still remain a debtor in a moral sense.
What follows from all this? Who's guilty? What to do?
The authors of these lines searched and found people by their mobile number hundreds of times, but they never took money without being 100% sure of the result. Our not so conscientious colleagues "in uniform" have repeatedly been participants in option No. 2. God be their judge.
