A selection of software for data encryption.
We present to your attention a selection of pretty good software for data encryption.
1) Cryptainer - a free solution that allows you to create password-protected crypto containers for both reliable data storage in the operating system, and for sharing them by e-mail.

2) ScramDisk - The virtual encrypted disk created by this program allows you to install applications on it. ScramDisk can also hide encrypted information in existing * .wav files.

3) TrueCrypt - An open source program that allows you to create virtual encrypted disks.
The security features of TrueCrypt are much clearer than those of file-based encryption programs. Firstly, it can be encrypted into a container, which significantly speeds up the work as a whole. Secondly, TrueCrypt supports large keys, up to 448-bit for the Blowfish algorithm. (In addition, there are four more algorithms in the program.) Thirdly, cascading encryption designs up to 768-bit keys are supported. Fourth, there are versions for both Windows and Linux, both for 32-bit and 64-bit. This, with the small size of the program, becomes an unexpected plus - allocating only 2 MB on your flash drive for all possible versions of the program, you can work on any computer. Official Russification is not superfluous.

This program creates a self-starting, password-protected CD that can be opened on any computer, and after work, removed from the drive in complete confidence that the data is inaccessible to prying eyes. Encryption is performed with compression, so that even more information than standard 700 MB will enter the standard CD.

5) Steganos Security Suite 2007 - multifunctional complex. In addition to protecting data in the container, it has a password generator, an e-mail encryption system, an Internet security system, a guaranteed data deletion utility, and other features.

Disk Encryption Programs in General
SafeGuard Easy - the program is aimed at corporations whose mobile employees are equipped with portable computers, designed to work with no more than two hard drives and can encrypt information at the partition or disk level. The system administrator can remotely unlock the computer if the user forgets the password.
1PGP Whole Disk - The logical development of the PGP product line. Available in two versions: for Professionals and for Enterprises. The latter is distinguished by the addition of the PGP Universal Server tool for administering and configuring, installing, and managing rules. The program has a unique recovery passphrase function, which eliminates the need for a global administrator password.
