The WikiLeaks website says that the list of clients of "Ultron" includes the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the State Tax Administration. According to the whistleblower, the company is engaged in the analysis of telephone conversations and Internet connections. “This industry is not regulated in practice. Intelligence agencies, the armed forces and the police can quietly and secretly intercept calls, take information from computers without the help or knowledge of providers, the Wikileaks website says. “The physical stay of the user can be determined using his mobile phone, even when he is off.”
We decided to find out whether Kharkovites really spy on compatriots, and tried to contact the leadership of Ultron. In the reception of "Ultron" a girl who introduced herself as a secretary recorded our contacts and promised that the company management would contact us in the near future, but at the time of typesetting the numbers had not been called back. But on Monday, an official message appeared on the company's website about the "refutation of inaccurate information."
“One of the types of economic activity of the enterprise is the development and manufacture of special technical equipment (STS) for removing information from communication channels, other means of secretly obtaining information, as well as selling them,” the statement said. - The right of a ZAO to conduct this type of activity is confirmed by the SBU license. However, Altron is not included in the list of bodies that have the right to conduct operational investigative activities. ” Referring to the norms of the Constitution, the company assures that they do not interfere in private life.
Officially, the power structures of the region do not comment on the possible involvement of Altron in the collection and transfer of confidential information of Ukrainians. However, as law enforcement sources told us, these allegations are groundless.
“Their task is to produce technical equipment for the needs of various structures, and no more,” the interlocutor assured us. - After all, such an enterprise must exist. Information monitoring is not their task, they do not even have such specialists. They are exclusively “techies”.
