Re: Detectives are joking
A legal incident from the Soviet past. In one city, a serial robber appeared. There were quite a few victims and witnesses, the robber was even detained, but there was nothing to plant. But the thing is this. The robber is a rather sullen-looking citizen of enormous growth with huge arms. He approached the victim and politely said something like:
"Would you be so kind as to give me your wallet?" If a person was frightened and gave the purse, the robber took the wallet and at the same time very graciously thanked the victim, and if the person refused, the robber apologized just as kindly and left this man alone. According to the Criminal Code, there is no corpus delicti in this: there was neither violence nor the threat of violence; the victim voluntarily gave his money. But under Soviet law, an article was nevertheless found for him: he didn’t work anywhere and he was convicted of parasitism.
5 most respectable thieves.
1. The thief who stole the laptop of a professor at the Swedish University of Umeå returned all of its contents to a flash drive. When the professor discovered the laptop was missing, he fell into a state of shock, because there were records of 10 years of work. However, the thief turned out to be so decent that some time later he returned to the professor a flash drive where all the information was copied.
2. An armed robber burst into one of the houses of Lower Saxony. While he threatened the nanny with a gun, two children of 7 years old brought him all their savings so that he would leave the woman alone. The robber was so moved by this act that he left home without taking a dime.
3. In October 2011, a thief stole 2 mobile phones and a wallet from a parked car. When he looked into one of the phones, he saw pictures of child pornography there. This gave him so much disgust that he surrendered to the authorities to help investigate this case. Thanks to the assistance of the thief, a 46-year-old man was arrested. As a lenient sentence, a failed thief was sentenced to only a month in prison and a fine.
4. A thief from Saudi Arabia, who remained unknown, returned to the present owner the jewelry stolen from him more than 10 years ago. According to the owner of the jewelry, they knocked on his door in the middle of the night, opening the door, he found a strange bag on the doorstep, in which there were jewelry, as well as an apology letter.
5. The Brazilian who stole the car returned the car to its owner after he called the mobile phone left in the car and informed the thief that he was now in financial difficulties.
