Article 8. Assistant lawyer
A lawyer may have an assistant or several assistants
persons with higher legal education. Working conditions are determined
a contract between a lawyer (bar association) and an assistant
a lawyer in compliance with labor legislation.
An assistant lawyer may carry out assignments in cases that
are in the proceedings of a lawyer, other than those belonging to
procedural powers of the latter.
The persons specified in part may not be assistants to a lawyer
the second article 2 of this Law.
Article 2. Lawyer
A lawyer may be a person with a higher legal education,
confirmed by a diploma of Ukraine or in accordance with international
agreements of Ukraine with a diploma of another country, work experience in the field
rights for at least two years, speaks the state language, amounted to
qualification exams, received in Ukraine a certificate of eligibility for
practicing law and took the Oath of Advocate

A lawyer cannot work in a court, prosecutor's office, notary,
law enforcement agencies, security services, public administration.
A person with a criminal record cannot be a lawyer. {Part two
