Patricia Greenfield, one of the world's leading experts in developmental psychology, has analyzed dozens of studies on how various media technologies affect our cognitive abilities. As a result of her generalization, she came to the following conclusion: the ever-increasing use of media technologies and, primarily, the Internet and mobile communications strengthened our visual-spatial intelligence, but weakened abstract logic, attentiveness, problem solving ability, critical thinking and imagination. One of the founders of neurophysiology Michael Merzhenich conducted hundreds of experiments over the past 40 years. At the end of last year, he said that these experiments showed the ability of the brain to quickly and intensively change neural circuits, adapting to our lives.
