10/25/2011 The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation convicted a former judge of the Voroshilovsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don, who received a bribe
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation sentenced Igor Anosov, a former judge of the Voroshilovsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don. He was found guilty of receiving a bribe (part 4 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)
The court found that Anosov served as a judge of the Voroshilovsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don. In June 2009, he received a lawsuit against the district administration, in which the plaintiff filed a demand for recognition of ownership of an unauthorized erected residential building. During the consideration of the civil case, the judge demanded a bribe in the amount of 100 thousand rubles for a court decision to satisfy the claim through the plaintiff's legal representative. The plaintiff was forced to agree to the unlawful demands of a judge, transferred part of the bribe in the amount of 50 thousand rubles, after which she turned to law enforcement agencies for help.
During the investigation, Anosov resigned from his post.
Anosov was sentenced to a fine of sixty-fold bribes, that is, 3 million rubles. In addition, he is deprived of the right to occupy positions for 3 years related to the exercise of the functions of a representative of the government or the performance of organizational and administrative, administrative and economic functions in state bodies, local authorities, state and municipal institutions, state corporations.
The verdict did not enter into force.
