Bastrykin personally will select employees in the "anti-police" management of the UK
The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, will personally select investigators to work in the departments for the investigation of cases of police officers and other law enforcement agencies. About this on April 19, the newspaper Kommersant writes.
As it became known to reporters, it is not planned to expand the staff of the UK yet. Therefore, investigators who have already proven themselves in the investigation of the relevant crimes will be transferred to the "anti-police". Up to ten investigators will work in each department. They will be supervised by the central administration of the UK. The FSB will be entrusted with the operational support of cases.
Kommersant notes that it’s unlikely that special forces will be able to investigate all cases that are accused by law enforcement officials. As expected, they will be transferred only to the most complex and resonant cases.
Bastrykin announced the creation of "anti-police" units on April 18. Before that, the journalists found out that investigators cannot properly investigate the affairs of the police, as they do not want to spoil relations with the police officers who provide them with operational support. If the IC seriously takes up the case of the operatives, the quality of the investigation of all other cases will automatically deteriorate.
