Former first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and ex-head of the ministry for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region Mikhail Sukhodolsky is now resting abroad, his vacation will last until May.
"Now Mikhail Sukhodolsky is on vacation, he wrote a report after resigning as head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. He is abroad. The vacation will end in May," a source surrounded by Sukhodolsky told RIA Novosti.
The source did not specify exactly where Sukhodolsky is located abroad. Meanwhile, according to media reports, he is now in Israel with his son.
As the Kommersant newspaper wrote on Wednesday, Interior Ministry investigators ransacked the Sukhodolsky’s apartment and also checked their cottage. Investigative actions, according to the publication, were carried out as part of a criminal case of fraud in relation to the leadership of FSUE Okhrana, the creator of which was General Sukhodolsky.
According to Kommersant, the son of General Sukhodolsky, Grigory, who was a co-founder of Security Technologies CJSC, acting as a supplier of FSUE Okhrana, is a witness in a criminal case that the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia instituted in December 2011 under article 201 and article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of authority and fraud). There are no defendants yet. According to investigators, some FSUE managers, acquiring various equipment and special equipment for their needs at obviously inflated prices, received kickbacks from businessmen. The investigation estimates preliminary damage at 140 million rubles, the newspaper writes.
Sukhodolsky was dismissed from his post as head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region in February. The investigation found that the teenager died after a severe beating, in which she accuses a local district police officer, already dismissed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Бывший первый замглавы МВД РФ и экс-начальник главка министерства по Санкт-Петербургу и Ленинградской области Михаил Суходольский сейчас отдыхает за границей, его отпуск продлится до мая.
