From time immemorial in Russia, the Russian Empire and the USSR everything was in order with this - the Pechenegs, Khazars, Tatars, French-British-Prussians, fascists, NATO. And on the internal front: from “We fuse hemp and forest with this interest” to “Catch up with and overtake America!” But in the Russian Federation somehow it went wrong.
Who are our enemies now if you watch TV? The former Great Power - once one of the two centers of power on the planet - allows itself to bicker with Georgia, the Baltic political dwarfs, brothers in faith and blood of the Ukrainians ... Even the nurtured and saved South Ossetia doesn’t listen to us. When in 2007 in Munich, Vladimir Putin expressed everything that he thinks about the North Atlantic bloc in general and the United States in particular, that was understandable. When a little later we made excuses about Georgia, worked hard to recognize Abkhazia and cut off gas to our neighbors - it was somehow jarring from the shallow water.
It is outside. Inside the same garbage. For two terms at the helm was a party that had the opportunity to change anything in the Constitution. Its leaders interpreted somewhat wearily: the non-systemic opposition is not real, its electorate is at most five percent, all its leaders, taken together, if they enjoy the support of the people, are only within the limits of statistical error ... And they didn’t lie - any poll is now showing. But suddenly, all the forces of the state machine rallied against this chantrap. What for? One of two things: either there is no reason for the cohesion of the others, or the “Blue Buckets” and “Subtropical Russia” are really real forces and they have deceived us.
Russian Orthodox Church. One of the most important religious denominations in the world, the kindest and most forgiving, it is polled that supports 80 percent of the population. What is there - our pride and moral support. So what? Contacted three hooligans. There were two options: give a pendell, fine and forget, or ridicule. There would be no problems with the latter: the girls have a bad repertoire, vile choreography and disgusting costumes. But they have been sitting in the jail for a month and a half, growing with a halo of martyrdom, rating and sympathizers: how are women mothers, opponents of the regime, political prisoners. Lay people demand severe retribution, hierarchs organize a movement in defense of the church. From whom? From these? Where was the wave of righteous anger when the holy lands of Abramtsev were built up with cottages and the church in Kadashi was demolished? And most importantly, what annoys: tens of thousands of citizens, and for where big crimes have not served a day.
A good enemy is a piece. It must be fostered, and then - thoughtfully maintained. So we would create a working group and develop a concept. If necessary, finance. That the enemy was - for a glimpse: a strong, intelligent, treacherous ...
The rest - unlucky and small - to ignore.

России не хватает качественного врага. Такого, чтобы нацию сплотил и цели обозначил. Без врага нет национальной идеи. Испокон у Руси, Российской империи и СССР с этим все было в порядке - печенеги, хазары, татары, французы-англичане-прусаки, фашисты, НАТО. И на внутреннем фронте: от «Мы под этот интерес сплавим им пеньку и лес» до «Догоним и перегоним Америку!». А вот в Российской Федерации как-то не заладилось.
Кто у нас теперь враги, если смотреть телевизор? Бывшая Великая Держава - некогда один из двух центров силы на планете - позволяет себе препираться с Грузией, прибалтийскими политическими карликами, братьями по вере и крови украинцами... Нас даже нами же выпестованная и спасенная Южная Осетия особо не слушается. Когда в 2007 году в Мюнхене Владимир Путин высказал все, что думает про Североатлантический блок вообще и США в частности, - это было понятно. Когда чуть позже мы оправдывались по поводу Грузии, хлопотали о признании Абхазии и перекрывали газ соседям - как-то коробило от мелкотемья.
Это снаружи. Внутри та же фигня. Два срока у руля стояла партия, имевшая возможность что угодно изменить в Конституции. Ее лидеры несколько устало растолковывали: внесистемная оппозиция не представляет реальной силы, ее электорат максимум пять процентов, все ее лидеры, вместе взятые, если и пользуются поддержкой народа, то исключительно в пределах статистической погрешности... И ведь не врали - любой опрос это и сейчас показывает. Но вдруг против этой шантрапы сплотились все силы государственной машины. Зачем? Одно из двух: либо поводов для сплоченности других нет, либо «Синие ведерки» и «Субтропическая Россия» действительно реальная сила и нас обманывали.
Русская православная церковь. Одна из главнейших религиозных конфессий мира, самая добрая и всепрощающая, ее по опросам поддерживает 80 процентов населения. Да что там - наша гордость и моральная опора. И что? Связались с тремя хулиганками. Вариантов было два: дать пенделя, оштрафовать и забыть либо высмеять. С последним проблем не было бы: у девушек плохой репертуар, мерзкая хореография и отвратительные костюмы. Но они сидят в кутузке уже полтора месяца, обрастая ореолом мученичества, рейтингом и сочувствующими: как же - женщины-матери, противники режима, политические заключенные. Миряне требуют сурового возмездия, иерархи организуют движение в защиту церкви. От кого? От этих? Где была волна праведного гнева, когда святые земли Абрамцева коттеджами застраивали и церковь в Кадашах сносили? И главное, что раздражает: десятки тысяч граждан и за куда большие преступления ни дня не отсидели.
Хороший враг - вещь штучная. Его надо выпестовать, а потом - продуманно поддерживать в рабочем состоянии. Вот и нам бы создать рабочую группу и разработать концепцию. Если надо - профинансировать. Чтобы враг был - на заглядение: сильный, умный, коварный...
Остальных - невезучих и мелких - игнорировать.
