Cудья, оглашая приговор Ивану Иванченко отметила, что Судом учитывалась серьезность повреждений, включая жизненно-важный орган - голову. Такие повреждения говорят о целенаправленности убийства. Также Иванченко признан виновным в краже чужого имущества.
Исследования доказали умышленность убийства. Иванченко не обладает психическими расстройствами, он не находился в состоянии аффекта, является вменяемым. Смягчающим обстоятельством является явка с повинной и активное способствование раскрытию дела. Судья провозгласила решение Суда для Иванченко: пожизненное лишение свободы в колонии особого режима, считая срок с 3 августа и компенсация морального вреда Ивану Лапину и Леониду Шкарупа - 4 и 5 млн рублей каждому.
