NATIVE KUBASOV LEONID ALEXANDROVICH VONVRACH 2nd RANGE 38 SME 42 SD. RESPOND!

prehistory

A soldier from Aktyubinsk, Zhamil Suleimenov, kept a diary at the front:

The jammed German notebook to the D editorial office was brought by the veteran son Seitjan Zhamil. His father, Zhamil Suleimenov, was wounded and captured during the war. In the Hill camp a soldier saved the life of a soldier Leonid Kubasov .
The children of Zhamil ata have been looking for a doctor for several years, whom they learned from the diary of a war veteran.

Doctor Kubasov both father and we, his 8 children, owe life, ”says Seitan жamil. - Father married after the war. He went to the front at the age of 18. After the death of his father, we found his front-line diary. German notepad, scribbled with a chemical pencil. Father went to the front in the 43rd. Soon a funeral came to him. And he returned alive. He was wounded, and he was captured. The father’s military card says: from March 1943, the shooter of the 240th Guards Rifle Regiment. From November 1943 to March 26, 1945 he was captured by the Germans.

What father experienced during the war years is described in detail in his diary:

... June 1941 The elder brother Gazez returned from accounting courses. We sat drinking tea, and at that time announced that the war had begun. The enemy immediately threw large forces. In order to stop him and protect the country, trains with soldiers are sent to the front day and night.

November 28, the 41st called Gazeza. He joined the 15th army. Life has become difficult, I can’t go to school.

... From Gazez there is no news for a long time. February 23, 1942, he said that they were sent to the Kalinin Front, they will soon enter the battle. The next letter came only on June 15th. In the battle of Velizh [Smolensk region. - Note Ed.] Gazeza wounded, and he was in a hospital in Almaty. On August 31, Gazez returned home. But not for long.

March 12, 1943 they called me to the front. There were four of us from our village: I, Kazhigali, Meriakh and Alpamys. We were in the 376th regiment, 1 battalion, 2 company. Brigade commander Hero of the Soviet Union Safonov, regiment commander Valeevich, 2nd company commander, Lieutenant Marshaniya. We are in the training battalion.

... May 1943. There is no news from the house for a long time. On May 2, Kazhigali received the news. I learned that Gazez again went to the front. And we were transferred to the 11th brigade, 364 regiment. 3 days 75 kilometers to Totsky we walked. Kazhigali moved to the mine brigade, on August 5 he was taken to the front. On August 12, our train departed. After Saratov, we stopped in some big city, loaded anti-aircraft guns. Then we drove along the ground, on which the Germans had already passed. Everything is burned. We stopped at some station. Darkness around, cars with weapons rush along the roads. In the distance, the sounds of artillery shells are heard. The war is near.

... We walked about 2 kilometers and stopped in the forest. We were led to the hangar, where the soldiers were waiting for departure. We were shown a concert, then everyone was put into operation and began to be distributed in parts. I ended up in the 8th army, 74th division. There are only 15 people in our 3 platoon, of which 12 are Kazakhs, mainly from Uralsk. Platoon commander Ganiev. Each was given a rifle, 120 rounds, 2 grenades and a supply of food. We walked all night, crossed the river, and the next day settled in the forest. The Germans were approximately 25 kilometers away. They started to train us.

... ... August 21, 1943. We were ordered to advance. In the forest we first saw the corpses of soldiers, it became scary. Here were trenches and dugouts. The Germans began to retreat from here. Around the corpses, lay ammunition, German helmets. Everything rumbled, enemy planes flew over us with a whistle. Ganbaev was next to me. He was frightened and began to shout: “Oh, Allah, oh, Allah!” His voice was so piercing that I also could not stand it, sobbed. We could not stop. It seemed to us that tomorrow would be gone. This condition was not only ours - for everyone who first came to be so close to death. Then we did not know that the fear would pass.

…24 August. We moved on. Ahead of the village burned, bombs were dropped from the plane to the ground, despite this, we ran forward. Settled in a deep trench. The fight lasted until the evening. We answered the enemy’s strike with the Katyusha artillery strike. In the morning the battle continued, we went further into the forest.

... At night we walked through the swamp. It was necessary to move quietly. They were able to occupy the hill, began to hit the enemy with machine guns. Through the machine gun burst you can hear the groans of wounded soldiers. Ganbaev, Koishev, Koishigulov, Knyazov are with me. All from Uralsk. At dawn, the shooting resumed. We water the enemy with rifles and machine guns. Koyshev died. A mine explosion killed Knyazov and Koishigulov. Around shooting, nothing is visible ...

... September 8, we went on the attack, the Germans retreated 30 kilometers to the station Borovenkovo. The city is on fire, we are ordered to take the station. Scorching for us, we are moving forward. Wounded platoon commander. Only six survived in our company.

... Asylbekov and I were given the task of approaching closer to the enemy, but they noticed us. A sniper bullet hit the barrel of my rifle. We went on the attack. The enemy no longer resisted. We only drove him and drove him. The village of Semenovka was liberated, then Ukrainian villages went. There is one black smoke. The houses are burned. Old women with small children in their arms returned to the village. Young Germans were stolen to Germany. Around crying, people have nowhere to go. When you see this, blood boils inside.

…September 30th. We got to the recently liberated Krasnoarmeysk near the Dnieper. September 15 were in Zaporozhye. October 21 reported the crossing of the Dnieper. On October 22, we liberated three villages one after another. The Germans did not show much resistance. On the 23rd, they were ordered to prepare for the attack. In our minrot there are 6 miniscounts. Platoon commander Omirzakov from Bashkiria, calculation commander Myrzabaev from Almaty. On the first day, the crew commander and 4 soldiers died. Tomorrow the battle again. The Germans fortified themselves in the village. In battle, many people died. The company commander wounded, the headquarters commander died.

...27th October. Again attack. The Germans are pouring bullets at us. In the morning we advanced about a kilometer. The bullet hit the barrel of my carbine, I took the carbine of the dead soldier. We are used to bullets pouring like rain, to dust mixed with smoke, constant firing. Already November 16th. The fight again. At some point, I felt a strong blow to the head. My eyes darkened, it seemed that I was flying away.

Camp. Operation. I'm alive

... I regained consciousness. It seemed to me that I woke up after a long sleep. The hand immediately reached for the head. There is a deep wound and bone. The hat burned out.

On December 16th I was informed that there would be an operation. They took the operation on the 21st. They laid it on the table, washed the wound, covered his face with a white cloth. I prayed to Allah that everything would work out. Two doctors held my hands, two held my legs. After a while I calmed down. I couldn’t move my arms or legs, but I heard and felt how they cut the skin on the head, break the bone, but could not move. A splinter was removed from the head, the wound was sutured. Then I was bandaged and taken from an operating hut on a stretcher to another. The Uzbek guy who was nearby was soon dead. For three days and three nights I did not sleep. My whole body was burning, my head was breaking, I began to say goodbye to life. The doctor who performed the operation didn’t leave me, Leonid Alexandrovich Kubasov . Tall, plump, handsome. He was very attentive. This man saved my young life. I will never forget him.

In the Hill camp, I was treated for 7 months. After that I was transported to Stablag, which is 40 kilometers from Koenigsberg. From there I got to Naderburg, then to Hohenstein, on November 24 we arrived in Brownsberg, from there to Danzig [now Gdansk, Poland. - Note Ed.] There I stayed in the hospital until March 45th. Then there was a commission in Neustettin, they recognized me as unsuitable for service. I'm going home. On August 26, the 45th, I got off the train in Emba.

From the war, his father returned as an invalid, but continued to work. He was a timekeeper on the railroad, says Seitan. - In winter and summer, my father wore a hat. On his head was a wound wound of 8 by 8 centimeters. She looked like a fontanel in young children. There is skin, but no bone. At 55, his father was gone. Having learned from the diary about the doctor Kubasov, we decided to find him. They wrote to the Moscow Military Archive, the archive of the Armed Forces of the former USSR, Russian newspapers, there is no answer yet.

Tatyana, hello!

For the time being, I see only one real search algorithm: find the home book at the wife’s home address, find out when and where Leonid Aleksandrovich and Sofya Ilyinichna (and the names of minor children) left and follow them from address to address.
Pushkinskaya street is now called Bolshaya Dmitrovka, though house 9 is 9 buildings, of which 2,4,5 and 6 remained residential today, and 1,3,7,8 and 9 were transferred to non-residential buildings and houses could not be preserved.

Respectfully,

On this search, I took steps that almost failed me and led to the expected result. I wrote a message about finding a doctor in a group where unusual people searching for military histories surround me. A lot of them found native soldiers, whose remains are now being raised by Search squads. And I was not mistaken. Elena Zhilinskaya, literally a day later, contacted the son of Leonid Alexandrovich.
But not so simple. The family, which had undergone terrible trials, was not ready for what they were looking for, what they want to say sincere thanks. What they remember for 70 years about what was done with the golden hands of their father. And the son refused further communication .........

Next, I want to give the whole dialogue of Elena Zhilinsky:

Tatyana Evgenievna!
I managed to find the family of Leonid Aleksandrovich Kubasov in Moscow, a military doctor of the 2nd rank.
She spoke with his son, he is 77 years old.
Details of the conversation will inform in PM.

Elena :

Kubasov Leonid Alexandrovich died in 1976, at the age of 74 years.
At first I was delighted to hear on the telephone: "Yes, this is my father, yes this is my mother. And our correct address is Pushkinskaya St. 9-20, they lived there."
The son confirmed that he was in the camp. Has been released.
He saved the lives of many fighters.
He died in 1976.
But, what I heard at the end of our conversation upset me greatly and shocked me.
The son of a military doctor 2 rank. refused further communication with relatives of the Red Army soldier Suleymenov Zhamilya.
I have explained. that their family has long been sought through the transfer site. Wait for me.
But he reacted to this: “I am an old man, it’s hard for me to ride, I don’t know these people, don’t bother me.
called back again to son Vladimir Leonidovich. She spoke with his wife Evgenia Nikolaevna.
The conversation turned out. I read her a message from the site. Wait for me, word for word.
Talked her carefully about the cemetery.
So:
Kubasov Leonid Alexandrovich was buried in Moscow at the Khovansky cemetery, plot 29 (she does not remember the number of the grave). she said. that this can be clarified in the administration of the cemetery.
The cemetery is divided into 4 large territories: Central, Southern, Northern and New.
you need to look for a grave in the Central Cemetery.
The site is large, the 3rd row of graves, in the depths of the site.
Metal black fence - there is a monument without a photo to Kubasov Leonid Alexandrovich.

Elena:

Evgenia Nikolaevna told me that her father-in-law, after returning from the front, sat for 8 years as an enemy of the people, under the article "English spy."
While there were forces he worked as a doctor.
After the "imprisonment" he worked as a surgeon in a hospital in Vereya.
For many years he worked as chief doctor of 24 hospitals in Moscow, opposite the famous institution on Petrovka 38.
He consulted a lot on various medical issues, when it became difficult to work as a surgeon, due to age.
And in the end, Evgenia Nikolaevna asked to thank the family of Suleimenov Zhamil for the memory of her relative

We involved in such stories understand this behavior. But we are not going to stop. We want to perpetuate the name of the doctor Kubasov Leonid Alexandrovich.

We will decide with the relatives of the soldier Suleymenov Zhamil about transferring the diary to some sort of museum.
Taking this opportunity, with thanks to the Suleimenov family !!!!

70 years after the war, the son of a soldier, Zhamil Suleimenov, found in Moscow a family doctor who operated on his father in the camp and pulled a splinter out of his head. Zhamil returned from the war. The surgeon who saved hundreds of soldiers is recognized as an English spy; he will spend 8 years in a colony.

This story, full of emotions, could become the plot for the movie. In the 43rd, 18-year-old Zhamil Suleimenov from the small village of Karl Marx, not far from Emba, goes to war. Falls on the Kalinin Front. Six months later, with the liberation of Ukraine, he is surrounded, then captive. There Jamil Suleimenov gets wounded, with a splinter in his head. Lying in a camp hospital, will keep a diary. The children of Suleimenov will find him after the death of his father. [“D” wrote about this in No. 19 dated 05/10/2012. “The Aktobe soldier kept a diary at the front,” https://www.mirbez.ru/index.php?view=art ... nt = 1 & page =.

“I am the youngest of 8 children, we were all born after the war,” says Seitjan Zhamil. - Father died in the 80th. We all left the village. In the 90s, in Aktobe, the older sister also decided to move. Among the old things, she found her father's briefcase, there was his war diary. I saw this notebook in childhood, but did not study it. After reading, I learned that my father survived. In the diary, he writes how he was wounded and who saved him:

“... I regained consciousness. The hand immediately reached for the head. There is a deep wound and bone. The hat burned out ...

On December 16th I was informed that there would be an operation. They took the operation on the 21st. They laid it on the table, washed the wound, covered his face with a white cloth. I prayed to Allah that everything would work out. Two doctors held my hands, two held my legs. I felt my skin being cut on my head, bone was breaking. They removed the fragment, sewn up the wound, then bandaged it and took it from the operating room on a stretcher to another. For three days and three nights I did not sleep. My whole body was burning, my head was breaking, I began to say goodbye to life. The doctor who performed the operation, Leonid Aleksandrovich Kubasov, did not leave me. Tall, plump, handsome, with a beautiful mustache and beard. He was very attentive and kind. This beautiful man saved my young life. I will never forget him ... In the Helma camp, I was treated for 7 months. "

“When I found out all this, I wrote to the military archive, in“ Wait for me, ”I wanted to find relatives of the military doctor Kubasov,” said Seitjan, “but they did not answer me. This surgeon is not only a father - we, 8 children, owe life. Father returned from the war as an invalid, but continued to work. He was a timekeeper on the railroad. In winter and summer he wore a hat. There was a wound on his head that looked like a fontanel. There is skin, but no bone.

Last year, D published material on Grosslazareth, and I remembered the story of my father. I told her “D” and shared that I want to find relatives of the military doctor Kubasov.

“D” contacted Asylbek Toleshov, deputy chairman of the Kazakh regional national-cultural autonomy in Moscow. The assistant professor of the Institute of Steel and Alloys has been helping search engines for many years. A message immediately spread between them: “Help me find relatives of the 2nd-rank WWII doctor, Kubasov Leonid Alexandrovich. He was born in 1902, the place of birth with. Nikolsk, Vologda Oblast. Drafted to the front 06/22/1941 by the Sverdlovsk RVC of Moscow. Served 38 MSB 42 pp. Div. Captured, released. Wife Estrin Sofya Ilyinichna lived in 1941 in Moscow on the street. Pushkinskaya, 9, apt. 20".

Correspondence began, Moscow detectives connected to search engines. And recently, Elena Zhilinskaya (she is retired, but engaged in search work) found her son Kubasov. Vladimir Leonidovich is now 77.

- Father was captured, was released. He saved the lives of many fighters, he said. Wife of Vladimir Leonidovich said that the Kubasov family after the war survived terrible trials.

Leonid Aleksandrovich served 8 years as an enemy of the people. He was recognized as an English spy. Freed, he worked as a surgeon in Vereya. For many years he headed the 24th hospital on Petrovka. When, due to his age, he could not work as a surgeon, he began to advise.

“We are very grateful to the family of Zhamil Suleimenov for the memory of his father-in-law,” said Evgenia Nikolaevna. - He is buried in the Khovansky cemetery.

Last week, Seitan Zhamil visited there.

“Asylbek Toleshov met me in Moscow,” said Seitzhan. - We immediately went to the Khovanskoe cemetery. It is huge, the largest in Europe, but I quickly found the grave of Kubasov. I went along the center row and stumbled right there. They seemed to be waiting for me. I laid flowers; for me it was very exciting. Due to illness, Kubasov’s son could not meet with me. Now I have a new task. I want to contact the Moscow government so that a memorial plaque is installed at the hospital where Kubasov worked. The memory of the man who captured Soviet soldiers in captivity should live.

Children of a soldier were able to visit the grave of the Great Military Doctor. Bow to him to the earth and Eternal Memory.

«Актюбинский солдат вел на фронте дневник», https://www.mirbez.ru/index.php?view=art ... nt=1&page=.
