Articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine guaranteeing trouble to negligent detectives.

Article 162. Violation of the inviolability of the home
1. Illegal penetration into a person’s home or other property, unlawful inspection or search in them, as well as unlawful eviction or other actions that violate the inviolability of a citizen’s home, shall be punishable by a fine of fifty to one hundred tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or correctional labor for up to two years, or restriction of liberty for up to three years.
2. The same actions committed by an official or with the use of violence or with the threat of its use shall be punishable by imprisonment for a term of two to five years.

Article 163. Violation of the secrecy of correspondence, telephone conversations, telegraphic or other correspondence transmitted by means of communication or through a computer.
1. Violation of the secrecy of correspondence, telephone conversations, telegraphic or other correspondence transmitted by means of communication or through a computer - shall be punishable by a fine from fifty to one hundred tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or correctional labor for a term of up to two years, or restriction of liberty up to three years.
2. The same actions committed in relation to state or public figures or committed by an official, or using special means designed to secretly remove information, shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of three to seven years.

Article 182. Violation of privacy
Illegal collection, storage, use or dissemination of confidential information about a person without his consent or the dissemination of this information in a public speech, a work publicly displayed, or in the media, is punishable by a fine of up to fifty tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or corrective labor for a term up to two years, or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to three years.

Article 330. Transfer or collection of information constituting confidential information owned by the state
1. Transfer or collection for the purpose of transferring to foreign enterprises, institutions, organizations or their representatives economic, scientific, technical or other information constituting confidential information owned by the state by a person to whom this information was entrusted or became known in connection with the performance of official duties , in the absence of signs of treason or espionage, - shall be punished by restraint of liberty for a term of up to three years or imprisonment for a term of two to five years, with the deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years or without it.
2. The same acts committed for mercenary motives, or entailing grave consequences for the interests of the state, or committed repeatedly, or by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, shall be punishable by deprivation of liberty for a term of four to eight years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or occupy certain activities for up to three years.
