The Real Work of Collectors

incass.jpg

From the requirements for a vacant collector: “Honest, decent, physically developed, stress-resistant, who has served in the army. And all employers in unison warn: the work is hard, the salary is small. But it turns out that this is not so bad. In society, respect for the profession is not brought up, well-written instructions are everywhere violated, and the specialist risks his life every day. And for what? A former collector talks about his daily work.

No common sense
I got a job in collection after the army. I always imagined such a job very serious, but as it turned out, this service completely denies common sense.

When I was hired for a week, I studied multivolume instructions and actions in various situations, and the more I read, the more I became convinced that I was going to a really cool place. And now I will tell you in fact.

According to the instructions, we must follow a clearly defined route. In fact, we always went where we could drive and where it was faster, because if you don’t collect the point on time, you will get a reprimand, they can be fined a hefty amount. At that time, there were GPS in Sbery, they were guided strictly along the route, and we, a private company, were not equipped with such equipment.

According to the instructions, at each point, we must be provided with the closest, brightest and most accessible approach, so that there is a minimum distance between the car and the entrance, and we will be surely met by the security guard of the collected company. In fact, we drove up as best we could, it used to be more than 50 meters on foot to the right place. For all the time of my work we were met by only one security guard in a bank. As a rule, they came in from the back door, cluttered with boxes and dimly lit.

According to the instructions, you must refuse to collect such points and leave, but in fact this cannot be done, they will be punished, they can fire you. As the saying goes: "Do not like it, look for another job!".

Painted on paper
Again, according to the instructions, we are obliged to wear body armor (fined for his absence). In fact, the protection class of this body armor was enough maximum against a knife or some kind of "fart." And he constrained the movement and made the person less mobile.

But back to the instructions: all points are collected at a strictly defined time, and if the company did not manage to prepare the money, you must turn around and leave. Later, a second check-in is paid, paid separately. In fact, the management forced them to sit and wait until the proceeds were taken out.

According to the instructions in case of an accident or malfunction of an armored car, we are obliged to report to the duty officer, he sends another car to replace, plus a police outfit that cordons off the place of overloading valuables. In fact, we somehow got into an accident, we drove another car, and we threw bags standing on the road in a stream of cars.

In general, to summarize, I can say that in the office in which the instructions worked, they were completely not executed, the brigade was constantly under threat of attack, but this did not bother anyone. I worked there for about a year and left, because my life is priceless, and here it was equivalent to a monthly salary of 27 thousand rubles, despite the fact that very large amounts were transported.

And now there are a few stories that have been deposited in my head, I will not say that they are funny, most striking in their idiocy.

History No. 1
Somehow we went to take out the weekly proceeds of all the branches of one bank to the central office. The amount amounted to about 50 million wooden, plus I do not remember how much currency. And now we are approaching the point, we understand that to bring us money about 100 meters to the door. The central office has recently opened; there is no back door yet. However, we are not leaving, we take two huge bags of dough with the guard, we throw them on our shoulders and rushed through the crowd of people along the footpath. I note that we stupidly pushed through the people, both hands were occupied with us, that is, we would not be able to use weapons purely physically. It was just possible to trample us. But ... they reported, passed, drove on.

History No. 2
We arrive at the point (a pharmacy in the store), passing through the main entrance, we notice that there are bearded uncles. Gone, collected, on the way back an aunt flies up to us, to be honest, at first we even strained. He grabs our hands and begins to beg us not to go out with the words: "Sons, these bearded ones are waiting for you there, please do not go out, you are still so young." That's when I was really scared for the first time. He walked tense, did not know what to do. Before exiting, the guard took out a weapon, we crossed ourselves and moved. From the door to the car about 20 meters, this distance seemed to me eternal, my heart was beating furiously as they passed between these bearded men. It turned out - false alarm. They sat safely in the car, but honestly, I was shocked for a long time. Aunt terribly caught up with us specifically.

Story number 3 (after which I quit)
We arrived at the point where the parking with a barrier (from the remote control). We went into the building (BC-business center), collected the client, went out, got into the car. At this time, a gelding drops into the parking lot and defiantly lowers the stick. We were taken aback, the guard gets out of the car (this also cannot be done according to the instructions), asks the embarrassed uncle to open the driveway, to which he replies: “I’m fucked, as you drove in and leave!”, And left for the BC. We call the client, they do not pick up the phone. We sat for about 10 minutes, waiting for someone to call, but nobody. A partner went into the BC building to ask the guard to open the barrier. As it turned out, he could not do this. Well, here my colleague was bombed, he came up and pressed on an iron stick, it just fell down, he lifted it, threw it aside, and we left. In the evening, the authorities called us and said that we (the team) would pay for the repair of the barrier that we had broken. I jabbed my finger in the instructions where it says: in case of blocking the car, we are obliged to ram an obstacle, freeing our way, we just laughed at me. It was then that I understood the attitude of management towards my employees and quit. I did not pay for the repair of the barrier.

People, be kinder
It is worth noting the attitude of people towards collectors. We were often called cattle, stupid guards, etc.

This was especially due to the fact that when approaching the point and not having the opportunity to approach, we blocked the movement of other cars. Many phrases were thrown after us, but one was especially remembered. We drove up to the jewelry, blocked the movement. When we got out, an uncle jumped out of the jeep and told us to remove our bucket. He was politely refused, they answered, we will remove it after 10 minutes, the driver cannot drive off. Uncle yelled: "You are stupid cattle, you are beggars, you do not even carry your money."

I want to note that in European countries this work is elite and everything is strict there. In our country, it is simply the protection of other people's money and constant risk. It is not worth it.

incass.jpg
