Almost 500 thousand counterfeit cosmetics seized in St. Petersburg in one of the shopping centers
Transport police seized counterfeit goods totaling about half a million rubles.
According to the press service of the Transport Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the NWFD, representatives of companies that protect the interests of copyright holders of well-known brands addressed the department. From the statement it followed that at the Udelnaya railway station in one of the shopping malls, perfumes and cosmetics of branded brands are being sold, raising doubts about their authenticity.
Transport police officers conducted an audit, as a result of which 1153 units of perfumes and cosmetics were seized. As a further study showed, all the goods turned out to be fake, and the damage suffered by the copyright holders amounted to about 499 thousand rubles.
The entrepreneur, who organized the illegal trade in "branded" goods, explained that she had acquired them in Moscow, and did not even realize that the goods were fake.
Currently, the issue of bringing her to administrative responsibility under Art. 14.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses "Illegal use of a trademark." In the future, a negligent seller of "luxury" goods may be fined in the amount of 30 to 40 thousand rubles. Moreover, if the copyright holder of the trademark considers that he has suffered significant losses, he can go to court with a request to compensate for material damage.
