Combing is certainly good and necessary, but you don’t need to leave work with classmates, parents either.
At the local forum, you probably read questions: did the girls communicate with friends, classmates, what did the police say, looked at her computer, spoke or not with bus drivers, with local drivers who constantly ride to Yekaterinburg, at the railway station with workers, whether or not they saw the girl.
