The new system, which was developed by the FSB, is called KARS - a comprehensive automated search system.
As explained by the head of the communications sector of the directorate of railway stations of Russian Railways, Dmitry Pisarenko, she is able to identify the citizen’s face from the base of the search and “lead” him from one camera to another in several crowd points. Meanwhile, representatives of the police or the FSB will arrive. After the test, the video system will appear at all 9 metropolitan stations.
And at the Paveletsky station, the “Integrated Integrated Security System” (IKSB) is launched. This system includes video surveillance, fire alarms, gas identification for explosives. The equipment will respond to any danger: sudden movements (brawls in the crowd), threatening poses (a man grabbed a gun), orphan bags, smoke, etc. This system will work at the country's 20 stations by the end of the year, and then at all.
