Due to the fact that the published article: “Intelligence without BOY’s” (source: rus.ruvr.ru/2011/03/08/47073110.html), authored by Maxim Lavrentiev, contains a number of gross errors and false facts, The team of the Internet project "Intelligence Technologies for Business" provides readers with accurate and accurate information based on reliable facts.
Business intelligence involves, first of all, knowledge of psychology. It is not surprising that the fair sex does not lose to men in this field. They are among us. They, like most women, cook borscht, raise children and embroider a cross. Often they have several names offline and many nicknames on the Web. They are scouts.
In order to achieve the desired result, they do not have to, as a stout colleague in the profession, Anna Chapman, do frank photoshoots in gloss. Their main weapon is psychology. On the eve of March 8, Golos Rossii spoke with the most prominent representatives of Russian business intelligence. Ironically, they are all called Helen. At least that's how they introduced themselves ...
Sophisticated young lady Elena Rogacheva is more like a model than the deputy head of one of the economic intelligence agencies. Image has repeatedly helped Elena to get the necessary information ... “I didn’t choose a profession, but the profession chose me. Business intelligence, also known as economic intelligence, is fundamentally different from state intelligence. Economic intelligence protects private business from financial and reputational risks, while state intelligence defends the country's global political interests, ”explains Elena.
“There is nothing romantic in my profession, because most of the work is related to the analysis of information,” the scout assures. According to her, more often than not, one has to deal with the “routine”: to reveal the facts of fraud between business partners, to check their reputation, including the presence of connections with criminal structures. But there are very interesting cases.
“Once I had to check for honesty the companion of a person who is a member of the business elite. The task was to enter trust and display the necessary information. ” - recalls Elena Rogacheva.
“Initially, her interests were studied the main places of occurrence. We met at a bowling alley, she visited there periodically to train. Since she had difficulties getting into the pins, it was here that my ability to throw balls came in handy. As an independent instructor, she invited her to conduct a lesson for free, and where there is one lesson there are two and three. So we became friends, and a month later I was already at her birthday. In public and in the environment of her chosen one, she always kept herself more than worthy, the pool was so quiet and calm that we had already begun to plan a legend for the exit. That's where the hell, luck and climbed, the modest shy girl was a regular visitor to the swinger party, and earlier in her hometown she worked for a short time as a stripper. She accidentally told all this by succumbing to emotions after the next glass of tequila. There were other interesting events, but a little good. ”
“Somehow to our agency,” recalls Elena Rogacheva, “the customer who was deceived by a business partner approached did not transfer the goods, although the money was transferred to him. The debtor did not respond to calls from the company's security service, but it was necessary to extract the necessary documents from it in order to transfer them to court. And we went all-in: sent our employee to her house - a fragile girl, looking 25 years old. The debtor was not at home, but his wife was. Exactly five minutes later, our employee drank tea with her, and at the end of the tea party the debtor's wife promised that he would sign all the documents. And he signed. "
“The operation was a success because, unlike the ambulances from the security service, the girl did not cause fear and distrust. Where the issue cannot be resolved by force, it is possible to solve by cunning, ”Elena Rogacheva is sure.
Who do you need to study to become a scout? “Unfortunately, in Russia at this time there are no specialized educational institutions for business intelligence. Alternatively, you can consider related professions, such as a journalist, political scientist, historian, etc. In addition to this, there are trainings and seminars in the business intelligence market that are conducted by recognized experts. Igor Nezhdanov holds remarkable seminars and trainings in competitive intelligence, and Evgeny Yushchuk has proven himself in Internet intelligence. When I was in Ukraine I really liked the speech of Mykola Bronislavovich Tumar on the topic “Economic and Industrial Intelligence”. By the way, in Ukraine, unlike Russia, the educational standard for competitive intelligence already exists, it is called “Management of Consolidated Information” there, plus there is also the specialty Knowledge Management. The training is conducted at the Kharkov National Economic University. To build professional ties and exchange experience, you can join various professional communities to communicate at specialized sites and forums. The very first Internet platform in Russia on intelligence technologies in the it2b business (https://it2b.ru/company/hreshebnik/blog/ ... m = facebook) appeared in August 2003. It was there that I found people close to me in spirit, with whom I could satisfy my hunger for information and make good friends. Among the communities, associations, competitive intelligence, ACFE (Link is not valid), SCIP (Link is not valid), Scope (
www.sphere.su ), ”Says Elena Rogacheva.
How to get a job in an intelligence agency? “As a rule, people from the street or coming of their own free will are not allowed in such agencies. They come to us quite often with an offer to work in our organization, but we prefer to search for the people we need ourselves, although sometimes we can take a person on the recommendation, but this is very rare. At one time, when I was looking for a new agency, I monitored the news about the creation of new departments, structures, organizations. Just at that time, one of the well-known banks on TV boasted of creating an affiliated powerful unit of the Security Service set aside in a separate legal entity, which will work exclusively in my specialty. Knowing only the name of the company, the next day I called the CEO in full. But it turned out to be a dummy, the director was a woman who had no relation whatsoever to either the Security Council or the Kyrgyz Republic, who simply worked as a secretary in this bank. The company was created as a "paper" for other tacit purposes of the bank. There are many examples of job search in intelligence agencies, but it’s better to go there solely on the recommendation, ”Elena concluded.
Previously, it was possible to get a business intelligence diploma only in Ukraine - at the Kharkov National Economic University, and now a university has appeared in Russia where they provide such knowledge. This is the Ural State University of Economics, in which Professor Yevgeny Yushchuk teaches the course “Competitive Intelligence in International Business”.
“Many firms buy the equipment they need through tenders or competitions. This situation has developed in the market where my employer works. If the product is exclusive, then the seller may need an authorization document from the manufacturer or his official representative confirming the right to sell, in some cases for a specific competition, ”says Elena Denisova, an analyst with one of the trading companies.
“One of the companies turned to us with a request for authorization, however, it was already issued to another company for that competition. We have refused. And they came to us with a request from a one-day company located near Moscow, indicating obviously false information about the final recipient and the city to which the equipment will be delivered. Of the contacts, only a mobile phone and an email address registered on a regular, unincorporated server were indicated, which alerted us. In the course of the investigation, it was established that the recipient company does not exist, and the telephone number and address belong to the employee of the company that was already contacting us, which we previously refused.
Elena Larina, the head of the recruitment company, repeatedly managed to bring unprincipled competitors into the open water, using considerable experience in the so-called “HR intelligence” market: “There once was a tender for a lot, a lot of money. He was successfully held. He won a certain company. Another company, which in terms of its professional level, personnel and software solutions was supposed to win it, accidentally lost, ”says Elena Larina.
“And after some time, the winning company began to search on one of the sites for absolutely all specialists, from the head to the executors, for the production of the tender product. Further, as you understand, it is not difficult to foresee the actions of a company that has lost a tender. Firstly, she had strong evidence of insolvency of the winning company, and secondly, there were reasonable questions to the organizers of the tender. ”
If every day to solve such puzzles, then on personal life and strength will not remain. Alas, there is one more problem in this regard, the first heroine of our story, Elena Rogacheva, is recognized:
“Most men are simply afraid of us. Because it’s very hard for us to lie - the truth will always come up. ”
But Elena Denisova rather than disagree with her colleague: “The profession, of course, causes caution in men, but the knowledge that we have is more likely to contribute to personal life: we do not make excessive demands on our loved ones, we take into account their psychological characteristics and relate to understanding. ”
In addition to the remarkable mind and excellent communication skills, the heroines of our history have another, frankly, important advantage: they know how to make money. On average, their earnings are from 40 to 100 thousand rubles per month, depending on the qualifications and the company in which they work. “Gender-based intelligence earnings are not set,” says Elena Larina.
“But male chauvinism in this profession has a place to be. Customers still give preference to male scouts, so it is useless to compete, you must immediately mark the ladies, ”said the scout.
“The most difficult at first, and after several years of work in the men's team you feel comfortable. However, few achieve career success in this area, most of them grow to the maximum of department heads. ”
Does this mean that competitive intelligence is still a male affair? Approximately the same as cooking barbecue, fishing and hiking with friends in the bathhouse on Sundays? Our heroines believe not. “Today it is difficult for us to assess the professional level of Mata Hari, but at the same time everyone knows who she is. And by the way, one of the most successful intelligence networks in Soviet times was led by Zoya Voskresenskaya, and today you know who the main press star is, ”smiles Elena Larina. “Historically, the former“ security guards ”originally came to competitive intelligence, so this stereotype has developed. But on the whole, here, as in any other business, they look at professional solvency, ”says Elena Denisova
Perhaps that is why every year in Russia more and more girls connect their lives with business intelligence.
