The Ukrainian, falsely accused in the case of the "canopy maniac", was released after 8 years.
KIEV, March 22. Maxim Dmitrenko, who was “behind bars” for eight years for a crime which he did not commit, was released from Volnyansk correctional colony. About it according to the information of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Ukraine reports UNN.
Now an investigation is being conducted to identify persons involved in the criminal prosecution of Dmitrenko. Recall that Maxim Dmitrenko spent 8 years in prison for a crime committed by the “canopy maniac” Sergei Tkach - rape and murder of a girl. The man lived in the Pologi district center of Zaporizhzhya region. On September 24, 2004, not far from the local Olympus bar, a 17-year-old girl was raped and killed. Dmitrenko drank beer in the bar that day, so police detained him. A few days later they said that Maxim confessed to the crime, although there was no evidence of his guilt. The man was sentenced to 13 years in prison. Later, however, the “canopy maniac” Sergey Tkach admitted to committing this crime, who accounted for at least 36 victims. For the crimes committed, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Note that the government is not going to provide any compensation and privileges to the innocently convicted Ukrainian.

Украинец, ложно обвиненный по делу «пологовского маньяка», вышел на свободу спустя 8 лет.
КИЕВ, 22 марта. Из Вольнянской исправительной колонии освободили Максима Дмитренко, который восемь лет находился «за решеткой» за преступление которого не совершал. Об этом по информации Генпрокуратуры Украины сообщает УНН.
Сейчас проводится следствие с целью установления лиц, причастных к незаконному привлечению Дмитренко к уголовной ответственности. Напомним, Максим Дмитренко провел в тюрьме 8-летний срок за преступление, совершенное «пологовским маньяком» Сергеем Ткачом, — изнасилование и убийство девушки. Мужчина жил в райцентре Пологи Запорожской области. 24 сентября 2004, недалеко от местного бара «Олимп» изнасиловали и убили 17-летнюю девушку. Дмитренко в тот день пил в баре пиво, поэтому милиционеры задержали его. Через несколько дней сказали, что Максим признался в преступлении, хотя доказательств его вины не было. Мужчину осудили на 13 лет тюрьмы. Однако позже в совершении этого преступления признался «пологовский маньяк» Сергей Ткач, на счету которого как минимум 36 жертв.
